Adam Hernandez Arias

On Saturday, July 9th, 2022, Adam Hernandez Arias, beloved husband, father, Grand “Po”, and great-grandfather, became a citizen of heaven at the age of 83. Adam was born to Benito and Antonia (Hernandez) Arias on December 6th, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas. He was raised in Northern Colorado and Scottsbluff, Nebraska and moved to Denver, Colorado at the age of 16. Adam was charismatic and hardworking, and he loved his family more than anything. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need, and every person he met became a friend. Although Adam was more of the strong, silent type, when he had something to say, he made sure that he was heard. Adam was an avid fisherman, Broncos fan, guitarist, and Budwiser connoisseur. He and his wife Toni just closed on a beautiful new home in Deatsville, Alabama, and he was so proud of his new house and his new John Deere riding mower. Adam was affectionately referred to as “Po” by his many grandkids, and “Honey” by one great granddaughter. He was very loved in life and through death. He will always be our beloved patriarch, and the heart of our family. Adam was preceded in death by father Benito, mother, Antonia, son Steven, child, Angel, granddaughter Jenna, grandson Adam John, grandchild Francis, great-grandson, Maverick and his siblings Ben (Hilda) Arias, Joe Lira, Albert (Elvie) Arias, Dora (Frank) Correa, Ernie Arias. He is survived by his loving wife Marie Antonia “Toni” Arias, and his children: son Ken (Alexandra) Arias, and their daughters Jessica, and Christina (Taylor); daughter Diana (Noel) Maberry, and their children Rian (Heather) and Mia (Peter); granddaughter Chelsea (Justin), Sally ( Don), Jamie (Kim), Kane ( Sara) children of deceased son, Steve (Marlene); daughter Teresa (Maryann) Rico & son Brian ( Adrianna); daughter Lisa (Gary) Fifield, and their children, Amanda (Delora), Brittany and Zachary. He is also survived by his siblings: Rachel (Joe) Lira and Alfred (Debbie) Arias, as well as his many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many others who loved him. On Saturday, July 16, 2022 the Rosary will be prayed at 9:15am just before the Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St Joseph's Church - 511 North Memorial Drive Prattville, Alabama 36067.
