Lisa Lynn Robins

Lisa Lynn Massengale Robins, 60, of Selma, Alabama entered into God’s kingdom on January 8, 2024. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Hunting Ridge Church at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Prattville Memorial Gardens with Prattville Memorial directing at the gravesite. The family will receive friends at Hunting Ridge Church one-hour prior to the service. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Emily Brooke Pollard and mother, Rita Latham. She is survived by her husband, Brooks; daughter, Katie (Gary) Edwards; father, John (Pat) Massengale; brother, Stan Massengale; and grandchildren, Kamryn Alivia Bice, Dawson Brooks Harris, Kara Grace Harris, Brody Kurt Harris, and Emerald Katherine Harris. Lynn was born July 11, 1963 in Selma, Alabama before moving to Prattville, Alabama when she was a child. She graduated from Prattville High School and worked for the Autauga County Health Department. She raised her family, daughters, Katie and Emily, in Prattville. In 2011 she married childhood friend Brooks Robins which took her to Seattle, Washington, where she began a new adventure. Upon returning to Alabama in 2018 she and Brooks moved to Prattville to be closer to family. They then moved to Selma, where their story had once begun. Whatever role Lynn took on - daughter, wife, mother, granny, sister, aunt – she did it wholeheartedly, dutifully, and with Christ at the center. Lynn radiated the light of Christ every day of her life and shone for everyone she met. With her larger-than-life personality and the uncanny ability to make a friend wherever she went, that light touched immeasurable souls. Lynn, or Granny to her five grandchildren, loved being a grandmother and adored her grandchildren. They each brought her joy and she loved being involved in their lives. A born bargain hunter, Lynn loved hunting for treasure at an excellent price. She filled her home with pieces that brought her joy, that had a unique story behind them, and were always a bargain. Whoever accompanied her shopping knew they were in for the long haul! Lynn thrived upon connecting with others, taking delight in discovering their story. She found joy and wonder in everything, especially in the places and people she loved. She created a home wherever she went and loved to host friends and family, never missing an opportunity to cook for and entertain her guests. She cared for others deeply and knew exactly how to comfort and celebrate no matter what the occasion. Her family was everything and, to her, everyone was family. Lynn may be gone from this earth, but her radiance that touched all who met her will continue to shine always.
