In Loving Memory of Priscilla Camacho September 1, 1941 – June 15, 2025 Priscilla Camacho, 83, a resident of Prattville, Alabama, passed away at home on Sunday, June 15, 2025. She was a devoted and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her warmth, generosity, and faith touched the lives of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luis Camacho Sr.; her son, John Michael Sr.; her brothers, Ruben and Edgar; her precious granddaughter, Isabelle and her daughter in-law Kristin. Priscilla leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through her children: daughter Frances “Cookie”; sons Ruben, Luis Jr., Daniel, Samuel, and her grandson John M. II “Mikey.” She is also lovingly remembered by her daughters in spirit, Yvonne, Brenda, and Naisha, as well as her spiritual daughter, Lillian. She was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren: Luis III “Butch,” Isaiah “Izzy”, Jonathan, Nathan, Niomi, Emily, Elizabeth, Jayden, Elijah, and Josiah “Jo-Jo.” She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren: John III, Justin, Amy, Luis IV “Anthony”, and Theoden, and grandchildren in spirit, David F. and John D. She is also survived by her loving siblings: Hector and his wife Juana “Jenny,” Grace, Myrta and her husband David Mullins, Noel, and Catherine. Priscilla was born and raised in Brooklyn. She was kind, warm, and welcoming to everyone she met. She loved cooking for others, crocheting, collecting dolls, and was an excellent salsa dancer. She loved spending time with her family. Priscilla was known for her generosity—no one ever went without a place to stay when she was around. Her home was always open. Music was a big part of her life, especially Latin Jazz, a love she passed down to the next generation. Most importantly, Priscilla loved Jehovah God and found deep comfort in His promises—certain and guaranteed realities soon to come. She often shared this assurance with others and longed for the day when her whole family would be together forever in the New World. “God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” — Revelation 21:3–4 She will be sorely missed by everyone.
